Business Accounts
What is a Business Account on JunkTube?
A Business Account is like any other account on JunkTube that allows you network with anyone and buy and sell anything with anyone. However, it sets you apart from everyone and lets them know that you do this for a living. You have a business name and you have personal products that you sell on a continuous basis under this business name. You are also verified as doing business under that name for the protection of our members.
Payment
How much will it cost for publishing a video?
We charge according to the length of the video. This price can change at any time but we normally choose to charge what the cost of bandwidth is these days which is extremely cheap. Just upload your video and you can see what the cost will be for you. Currently, the price is 10 cents per 15 seconds, so that would be 40 cents per minute. This is very cheap compaired to eBay's prices for uploading images.
Why do you force escrow on sales?
Because it protects both buyers and sellers and is much cheaper than insurance and prevents theft, late deliveries and charge-backs.
Why do you use PayPal only for payments?
PayPal is known world-wide and has grown significantly and has established themselves as a leader in online purchases. We also use them for our verification services which helps buyers determine the status and trustworthiness of sellers and buyers alike. We have also had a long relationship with Paypal for several years and we both appreciate each others business.
Personal Accounts
Can I sell new items on my personal account?
Generally, yes you can. However, it must be something that you sell just one time and one time only. You can't keep selling multiple items of the same thing over and over again. We require that you open a business account at that point.
What is a Personal Account on JunkTube?
A personal account is for anyone and every body. It allows you to network with anyone and it also allows you to buy and sell. Mostly, you would be selling a product, such as something you own or pre-owned and is not of a business nature.
Videos
Can I re-upload a video to replace the one that I uploaded?
No, you can not. All videos are final. If there is any problem with the video such as it not showing up on the site or any can not be viewed, you must contact us, or in most cases, we will be contacting you about it. You must send in a Contact Us form about the problem and we can take it from there and assist you. So, please MAKE SURE that you have the video that you want before uploading and in the correct format.
How must videos be?
They can really be anything. You just have to be yourself and just promote what it is you are selling. We will not accept any videos that are offensive or rude. Your account will be banned.
What kind of video formats can I upload?
You can upload just about any variation of digital video on our system. If your format does not work, please contact us and inform us of what your version is so we may investigate and possibly allow it or not.
