The idea for JunkTube was thought of in 2005 by Samuel Anderson, inventor, entrepreneur, businessman, politician, advocate for children and abandon babies and colleagues who call him ‘The Idea Man'.
It wasn't until 2006 that research was conducted and door knocking to find out just what businesses and corporations of all sizes wanted and really needed to expand and do good business while using the Internet that prompted Samuel to take action and produce the name JunkTube.
Why JunkTube?
People have been using the term ‘junk' for decades and it means both new and used depending on who is buying and who is selling and in most cases...what you are driving. We've all grown up hearing the term ‘boobtube' because of having watched too much TV as a child that would rot your brain.
Now we have TV that has gone beyond what we ever thought it would be including being able to watch videos online. Hence, JunkTube! One man's junk is another man's treasure, we've all heard that one before and it's true to this very day. So, ‘Junk' and ‘Tube' are terms we've all come to understand for over 60 years.
JunkTube is combining technologies we are all now familiar with and have become used to seeing on the Internet. It is a combination of new and used items, new and established businesses and the guy next door to take advantage of each other and their networks combining the best of Internet technology to buy and sell.
What we see as being the best thing about JunkTube is the fact that we don't allow free accounts. Everyone who signs up will be verified because we charge a simple fee that we give back to you to match name and address. There will be no illicit content or violations of others content, not if we can help it, but we've decided that buyers and sellers want to be able to interact and have a safe place to do it including those who advertise.
